Kvarner Health Tourism Cluster and Rijeka Tourist Board jointly presented destination and tourist products at the international health tourism conference "Health and Medical Tourism Summit" that was held in Lublin in Poland on 12th of June.
The health and medical tourism summit was organized by the Lublin Medical Cluster and under the patronage of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Poland and the Polish Tourist Board. The Lublin Medical Cluster gathers over 90 members from the health, business and university sector. The cluster was founded and operated under the patronage of the city of Lublin.
More than 200 participants from 26 countries participated at the conference, with 23 invited lecturers from the field of health tourism. The Lublin cluster is a partner of the Kvarner Health Tourism Cluster for two years and this year we received a call for active participation in panel discussions. As a cluster representative in two panels: "Potential of Health Tourism in Europe and the World - Current Trends and Challenges", and "Cooperation of Health Tourism Clusters and the possibility of association at European level- Examples from practice for a better future" participated president of the Kvarner Health Cluster Dr. Vladimir Mozetič.
In the panel "Health tourism as a strategic branch of economic development - the role of local administration in organizing and promoting", on behaf of the Rijeka Tourist Board the presentation was held by Dominik Damiš who also participated in the panel. B2B meetings were also organized which enabled additional presentation of our region, and thus expanding the circle of potential partners in the development of health tourism.
