The three-day Adriatic health, sport and tourist investment Forum was held from 20th till 22nd October 2019 at the Westin Hotel in Zagreb. The Kvarner Health Tourism Cluster presented the health tourism offer of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County as well as the offer of its twenty-eight members.
Cluster President, Ph.D. Vladimir Mozetic, MD, participated in the panel "Health Tourism in Europe: Present and Future", which discussed all the possibilities and potentials of the health tourism industry. The panel was moderated by Mr. Lutz Lungwitz, president of the German Association of Medical Wellness, who is also the Honorary Ambassador of the Cluster. The panelists included: Robert Pende, Assistant Minister for Tourism, Luke Savage, Executive Director for International Acquisitions and Management at Medical Properties Trust, Dr. Magdalena Rutkowska, Director of Medical Travel Partner, and Ivana Kolar, Director of Julius Rose d.o.o.
Our member Terme Selce also had their representative at the 3rd Investment Forum. Hence, the primarius Vlasta Brozičević, MD. was a participant in the panel "Development of a year-round destination for health, sports and tourism - challenges", held after introductory lectures by Emin Cakmak, Founder and President of the Turkish Healthcare Travel Council, on "Turkey's experience in successfully developing a global health tourism destination" and Dr. Magdalena Rutkowska on "Promoting Medical Tourism in Poland - Experiences and Challenges."
The third Adriatic health, sport and tourism investment Forum hosted domestic and foreign tourism professionals, medical professionals, investors and government officials from the Adriatic region, as well as experts in the fields of health, sports, tourism and investment. During the three days of the Forum, various workshops, panels and lectures were held, which aimed to present the numerous potentials of Croatia and the entire region as a year-round destination for health tourism.
