Primorsko-Goranska County Community Health Centre is a health institution, founded by the Primorsko-goranska County, which offers health services in the area of the entire county (total of 3,582 km2, 14 cities and 22 counties, as well as 536 villages in the system of cities and districtas). Such county Health Centre was established in 2003 by merging 9 Health Centres (Crikvenica, Čabar, Delnice, Krk, Mali Lošinj, Opatija, Rab, Rijeka and Vrbovsko)
The Community Health Centre employs 621 employees (more than 450 of which are health care professionals).
The basic activity of the Community Health Centre is to offer health services on the level of primary health protection, which is carried out through primary care medicine, paediatrics, gynaecoloogy, dental medicine, health visitors service, occupational medicine and laboratory diagnostics. Besides these activities, the Health Centre offers certain services from the area of secondary health care – X-ray diagnostics, internal medicine, ophtalmology, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, surgery, oral surgery, dental prosthetics, orthodontics. Also, the Health Centre offers haemodialysis, stationary care (14 beds contracted with the Croatian Health Insurance Fund – Mali Lošinj), as well as 3 mobile teams of palliative care.
